Por un lado, se propone el dise\u00f1o de convertidores m\u00e1s robustos, especialmente, frente a perturbaciones de la red el\u00e9ctrica; y por otro lado se proponen nuevos algoritmos de control para mejorar el comportamiento del vsc ante posibles perturbaciones del sistema.  al nivel de dise\u00f1o, en esta tesis  se desarrolla un convertidor \u00bb back -to-back\u00bb de tres niveles npc y se propone el empleo de un filtro lcl para la conexi\u00f3n del convertidor  a la red el\u00e9ctrica.  desde el punto de vista del control, la tesis se centra en el sistema de control del vsc conectado a la red el\u00e9ctrica.
