Ello pasa por la determinacion de la amortiguacion estructural del motor. Se ha desarrollado un procedimiento para el calculo de la atenuacion estructural, de forma indirecta, sin necesidad de efectuar calculos mecanicos, que presenta un grado de precision muy superior al de otros procedimientos existentes. Este metodo de separacion de ruidos ha sido validado exhaustivamente y ha sido aplicado a un motor de prueba, consiguiendo una reduccion en sus niveles de emision muy considerable. Ademas, como consecuencia de esta trabajo se han puesto en practica metodos de trabajo relacionados con la localizacion de fuentes acusticas por intensimetria acustica, de calculo de potencias
