Xix y las primeras del xx. La investigaci\u00f3n parte de una primera aproximaci\u00f3n cuantitativa a los niveles de alfabetizaci\u00f3n de la poblaci\u00f3n, a trav\u00e9s del an\u00e1lisis de los censos de poblaci\u00f3n. Estos niveles est\u00e1n directamente relacionados con el proceso de alfabetizaci\u00f3n en castellano llevado a cabo principalmente por la instituci\u00f3n escolar, y condicionar\u00e1n el desarrollo de diversas acciones y pr\u00e1cticas culturales encaminadas a potenciar entre las clases populares el aprendizaje y la pr\u00e1ctica de la lectura y de la escritura en euskera. Desde una visi\u00f3n m\u00e1s cualitativa se analiza, en una segunda parte, la g\u00e9nesis y evoluci\u00f3n de dos pr\u00e1cticas culturales -no escolares-, una desarrollada en el \u00e1mbito publico y otra en el privado, las cuales merecen una consideraci\u00f3n fundamental como nuevos espacios para el desarrollo de la lectura y de la escritura en euskera y la educaci\u00f3n de las clases populares. Dentro del espacio p\u00fablico de la fiesta popular se estudian las implicaciones alfabetizadoras y educativas de la celebraci\u00f3n de los juegos florales euskaros y de las fiestas vascas. Respecto a lo que se entiende como espacio privado de alfabetizaci\u00f3n se analiza la producci\u00f3n, divulgaci\u00f3n y lectura de los calendarios en euskera, estudiando su contenido, estructura, y posibles lecturas, as\u00ed como su importancia como manual para la construcci\u00f3n identitaria del \u00abhonrado euskaldun\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
