La presencia de dichos dominios hace suponer que las prote\u00ednas herc act\u00faan como e3 ubiquitina ligasas y quiz\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n como factores intercambiadores de nucle\u00f3tidos sobre gtpasas monom\u00e9ricas. Herc1 es una prote\u00edna gigante de 532 kda capaz de interaccionar con la cadena pesada de la clatrina y con gtpasas de las familias arf y rab. Mediante el uso de t\u00e9cnicas bioqu\u00edmicas de detecci\u00f3n de interacciones, hemos identificado a la piruvato quinasa m2, la cadena ligera de la clatrina, arf6 y varios fosfoinos\u00edtidos como nuevas mol\u00e9culas capaces de asociarse a herc1. Asimismo, el uso de t\u00e9cnicas microsc\u00f3picas nos ha permitido establecer que herc1 se halla en ves\u00edculas del aparato de golgi y su distribuci\u00f3n en la c\u00e9lula es regulada por la activaci\u00f3n de arf6. Por otra parte, hemos visto que la reducci\u00f3n de los niveles de herc1 mediante t\u00e9cnicas de interferencia por rna no afecta el funcionamiento de las v\u00edas endoc\u00edticas y secretoras de las c\u00e9lulas, aunque la expresi\u00f3n de ciertas formas truncadas de herc1 s\u00ed da lugar a una inhibici\u00f3n de la endocitosis.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
