Preisendanz (papyri graecae magicae) de 1928 y 1931, reeditada en 1973 y 1974 por a. Henrichs, y en el supplementum magicun de w. Daniel y f. Maltomini de 1990 y 1992.  se parte del supuesto de que todo el contenido delas invocaciones es lenguaje ritual y susceptible de ser clasificado en estructuras b\u00e1sicas, a las que se llama f\u00f3rmulas. Para la clasificaci\u00f3n de estas f\u00f3mulas se utiliza un criterio combinado de forma, contenido y funci\u00f3n. \u00e9ste  es el \u00fanivo que permite la clasificaci\u00f3n formal, al mismo tiempo que introduce en toda la complejidad del lenguaje de la magia. Se encuentran as\u00ed 18 tipos de f\u00f3rmulas, variados en el grado de tipificaci\u00f3n y complejidad e interrelacionados unos con otros, a los que se ha dado los siguientes nombres: f\u00f3rmula de saludo, f\u00f3rmulas epikaliumai, peticiones de contacto, f\u00f3rmulas de conjuro, f\u00f3rmulas de orden, f\u00f3rmulas de amenaza y recompensa, f\u00f3rmulas de acci\u00f3n ritual, f\u00f3rmulas de aataribuci\u00f3n (primera persona, segunda pesona, tercera persona), f\u00f3mulas de alabanza, f\u00f3rmulas de acusaci\u00f3n, f\u00f3rmulas de libaraci\u00f3n o despedida, peticiones, citas y referencias m\u00e1gicas, s\u00f3lo nombres, esquemas y dibujos.  a cada f\u00f3rmula se le dedica un cap\u00edtulo, que se dispone siempre seg\u00fan la misma estructura,:  1. Explicaci\u00f3n del nombre y criterios de tipificaci\u00f3n, existencia de variantes y justificaci\u00f3n delas mismas.  2. Lista de textos con todos los casos de la f\u00f3rmula en cuesti\u00f3n.  3. Estudio dela estructura y contenidos.  4. Consideraciones sobre los contextos de las f\u00f3rmulas en sus respectivas invocaciones y sobre el aspecto funcional.  pero el an\u00e1lisis y clasificaci\u00f3n, precisamente por el criterio combinado que se emplea, lleva tambi\u00e9n a una reflexi\u00f3n global sobre las peculiadridades del lenguaje m\u00e1gico y su funci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como sobre las relaciones
