La dosis utilizada de los los aditivos en ambos experimentos fue de 2,2 mg\/l de l\u00edquido de cultivo. Durante los d\u00edas de adaptaci\u00f3n, el aceite de clavo (experimento 1) disminuy\u00f3 la proporci\u00f3n de acetato y aument\u00f3 la proporci\u00f3n de butirato, y el cinamaldeh\u00eddo (experimento 2) disminuy\u00f3 la proporci\u00f3n de acetato. Sin embargo, estos efectos no se mantuvieron durante los  d\u00edas de muestreo, lo que sugiri\u00f3 que los microorganismos ruminales pod\u00edan adaptarse a la presencia de los aditivos.  el experimento 3, consisti\u00f3 en un estudio de dosis\/respuestas en el que se evaluaron los efectos de diferentes dosis de los 18 extractos en cultivos de 24 horas. El aceite de ajo aument\u00f3 la proporci\u00f3n de propionato (30,300 y 3000 mg\/l) y butiraro (300 y 3000 mg\/l) y disminuy\u00f3 la proporci\u00f3n de acetato (30,300 y 3000 mg\/l). Compuestos como el cinamaldeh\u00eddo y el eugenol aumentaron la proporci\u00f3n de propionato (3000 mg\/l) y disminuyeron la concentraci\u00f3n de n amoniacal (300 y 3000 mg\/l).  el objetivo del experimento 4 fue evaluar los efectos y determinar el mecanismo de acci\u00f3n del aceite de ajo y el cinamaldeh\u00eddo en un sistema de cultivos continuos (3 per\u00edodos replicados de 9 d\u00edas). A 31,2 mg\/l, el cinamaldeh\u00eddo disminuyo la proporci\u00f3n de acetato e increment\u00f3 la proporci\u00f3n de propionato, mientras que a 312 mg\/l tambi\u00e9n disminuy\u00f3 la proporci\u00f3n
