El micromagnetismo es el formalismo te\u00f3rico apropiado para describir el comportamiento de muestras ferromagn\u00e9ticas a esta escala. en esta tesis se extiende el rango de validez del micromagnetismo est\u00e1ndar para incluir algunos fen\u00f3menos que son de gran importancia para el posterior desarrollo de dispositivos nanotecnol\u00f3gicos. Las principales aportaciones del trabajo son:  1. Estudio de la agitaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica: se introduce la din\u00e1mica de langevin basada en la teor\u00eda de procesos estoc\u00e1sticos, como formalismo apropiado para describir la evoluci\u00f3n de la magnetizaci\u00f3n en presencia de un ba\u00f1o t\u00e9rmico. Se estudian los problemas relativos a la discretizaci\u00f3n espacio-temporal de las ecuaciones que describen la evoluci\u00f3n de la magnetizaci\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n, se ha determinado la m\u00e1xima densidad de almacenamiento de informaci\u00f3n que se puede alcanzar evitando el comportamiento superparamagn\u00e9tico.  2. Corrientes de p\u00e9rdidas o corrientes eddy: se propone un marco te\u00f3rico para incluir el efecto de las corrientes de p\u00e9rdidas (corrientes eddy). se ha estudiado su influencia en la din\u00e1mica de la magnetizaci\u00f3n describiendo y cuantificando su efecto de forma semi-anal\u00edtica a partir de un par\u00e1metro de p\u00e9rdidas no-fenomenol\u00f3gico.  3. Transferencia de torque de spin: se han desarrollado las herramientas num\u00e9ricas para estudiar la excitaci\u00f3n de la magnetizaci\u00f3n mediante la inyecci\u00f3n de corrientes de spin polarizadas. En particular, se ha estudiado el acoplamiento magnetost\u00e1tico entre las distintas capas que forman parte de una v\u00e1lvula de spin.  4. Din\u00e1mica de paredes: se ha estudiado la din\u00e1mica de paredes en tiras delgadas en presencia de un campo externo. Se estudio la velocidad en funci\u00f3n de la secci\u00f3n transversal.
