La facoemulsificaci\u00f3n fue presentada cuando el dr charles kelman proclamaba las ventajas de mantener la c\u00e1psula posterior del cristalino y condujo a la ubicaci\u00f3n definitiva del cristalino artificial &#8211; la c\u00e1mara posterior. La emulsificaci\u00f3n se ha convertido en la t\u00e9cnica de elecci\u00f3n para la mayor\u00eda de los cirujanos y se han dese\u00f1ado nuevas lentes intraoculares para introducirlas a trav\u00e9s de incisiones de 3,2 mm o a\u00fan menores. objetivos de trabajo:  1. Investigar los cambios en la celularidad endotelial que  acontecen en la cirugia mics, comparada con la cirugia de la catarata mediante facoemulsificaci\u00f3n coaxial.  2. Analizar los cambios en el astigmatismo inducido que acontecen tras la cirugla microincisional (mics) compar\u00e1ndolos con la coaxial.  3. Investigar la diferencia en la fluidica (volumen y bss utilizados) \/potencia utilizada\/tiempo de faco\/paquimetria\/flare y celularidad en camara anterior entre las dos t\u00e9cnicas.  materiales y m\u00e9todos:  este estudio fue dise\u00f1ado como una serie de casos prospectivos, consecutivos, randomizados y clfnicamente controlado. 100 ojos de 100 pacientes con cataratas nucleares o cort\u00edconucleares fueron operados mediante el mics y se compararon con 100 ojos de 100 otros pacientes operados con facoemulsificaci\u00f3n convencional.  nuestro estudio esta comparando ambos grupos en cuanto a:  a. Tama\u00f1o de incisi\u00f3n  b. Recuento de c\u00e9lulas endoteliales  c. C\u00e9lulas de la c\u00e1mara anterior (laser flare cell metre)  d. Paquimetrla  e. El tiempo efectivo del faco (tef)  f. El porcentaje de la potencia m\u00e1xima utilizada.  g. El consumo de los fluidicos (bss) durante la intervenci\u00f3n.  h. Los cambios vectoriales del astigmatismo.  1.
