Estos microorganismos son capaces de producir una serie de enzimas extracelulares de gran inter\u00e9s industrial, como proteasas, lipasas, dnasas, amilasas, etc., Que presentan gran estabilidad al estr\u00e9s salino. En esta tesis se ha estudiado en detalle un microorganismo hal\u00f3filo moderado capaz de producir una proteasas extracelular.     en primer lugar se realiz\u00f3 un screening en salinas del sur de espa\u00f1a que nos permiti\u00f3 aislar 892 bacteria hal\u00f3filas moderadas capaces de producir enzimas extracelulares. De ellas se seleccion\u00f3 la cepa cp76 como la mejor productora de una proteasas extracelular que se caracteriz\u00f3 en base a estudios genot\u00edpicos y fenot\u00edpicos y se clasific\u00f3 como pseudoalteromonas ruthenica cp76.     dicha proteasas, denominada haloproteasas cp1, ha sido purificada y caracterizada bioqu\u00edmicamente. Se trata de un enzima de 38 kda que presenta una actividad \u00f3ptima a 55\u00c2\u00bac, ph 8,5 y es capaz de actuar en un amplio rango de concentraciones de nacl (0-4 m) con un \u00f3ptimo entre 0-1 m. mediante pcr inversa se ha amplificado el gen  que codifica la haloproteasas cp1, denominado cp1. La haloproteasas cp1 consta de 733 amino\u00e1cidos y se sintetiza en forma de pre-proprote\u00edna. Se trata de una metalopr\u00f3teasa de la familia de las termolisinas o m4. Junto al gen cp1 se ha encontrado otro gen, cp2, que codifica otra metaloproteasas extracelular, denominada cp2, que esta formada por 614 amino\u00e1cidos y pertenece a la familia m28. Por \u00faltimo, corriente debajo de cp2, se encuentra otro gen, denominado lipp, que aunque est\u00e1 incompleto codifica que prote\u00edna que presenta homolog\u00eda con esteasas de la familia de las a\/betas hidrolasas.     por \u00faltimo se han realizado estudios sobre el mecanismo de secreci\u00f3n que utiliza pseudoalteromonas ruthenica cp76 para secretar la haloproteasas cp1 al medio extracelular.
