Este proceso est\u00e1 regulado a trav\u00e9s de un complejo mecanismo en el que est\u00e1n implicados numerosos mediadores moleculares.  algunos receptores de la superficie celular son capaces de inhibir la apoptosis mediante la liberaci\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales que reprimen a mol\u00e9culas proapopt\u00f3ticas o estimulan a mol\u00e9culas anti-apopt\u00f3ticas. Pi3k y akt son dos enzimas fuertemente relacionadas con la inhibici\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales apopt\u00f3ticas,  puesto que, son capaces de fosforilar e inhibir una variedad de reguladores pro-apopt\u00f3ticos como la caspasa 9 o bad. Las c\u00e9lulas dendr\u00edticas son  potentes presentadoras de ant\u00edgenos que juegan un papel fundamental en el inicio de la respuesta inmune. Est\u00e1s c\u00e9lulas sufren un proceso de  maduraci\u00f3n donde aumentan su capacidad de presentaci\u00f3n antig\u00e9nica y su sensibilidad a las quimioquinas ccl19 y ccl21, responsables de su  migraci\u00f3n hacia los ganglios linf\u00e1ticos. La capacidad de las c\u00e9lulas dendr\u00edticas, una vez maduras, de respoder a estas dos quimioquinas, le viene dada por el aumento en su superficie celular del receptor de quimioquinas ccr7 durante el proceso de maduraci\u00f3n. Las se\u00f1ales que manda ccr7, una vez  activado, est\u00e1n comenzando a ser caracterizadas. Ccr7, como otros receptores heptahelicoidales, transmite se\u00f1ales a trav\u00e9s de miembros de la familia de las proteinas g. Las prote\u00ednas g son heterotrimeros formados por una subunidad alpha, una subunidad beta y una subunidad gamma. Comunmente, los receptores de quimioquinas transmiten se\u00f1ales que regulan quimiotaxis a trav\u00e9s de miembros de la familia gi. Recientemente se ha descrito que ccr7 adem\u00e1s de regular quimiotaxis, regula otros procesos como la citoarquitectura de las c\u00e9lulas dendr\u00edticas y sus habilidades endoc\u00edticas.,
