A partir de este material, se indaga sobre dos conceptos: el pedag\u00f3gico y el relativo a los subg\u00e9neros narrativos que la tradici\u00f3n literaria dispone para la peripecia educativa. el primer cap\u00edtulo es una introducci\u00f3n en la que se presentan de forma operativa los rasgos distintivos del subg\u00e9nero \u00abnovela de formaci\u00f3n\u00bb o \u00abbildungsroman\u00bb, y de otros subg\u00e9neros afines. Los cuatro cap\u00edtulos siguientes desglosan novelas que perfilan la figura docente de una manera diferenciada, en funci\u00f3n de la distinta tipolog\u00eda del personaje y de la instituci\u00f3n educativa.
