El mecanismo de accion de estas proteinas viene mediado por la presencia de un receptor para estas en el intestino de los insectos diana. La resistencia a este bioinsecticida en ciertas poblaciones de insectos se ha atribuido a un cambio en el receptor.  en este trabajo se han analizado caracteristicas de los receptores en distintos insectos plaga, lo que mejorara las formulaciones insecticidas y permitira una mejor lucha contra el desarrollo de resistencias frente a este bioinsecticida. Asi, se han analizado los receptores para cryia(a), cryia(b) y cryia(c) en p. Operculella, p. Xylostella, m. Brassicae y s. Exigua. Asi mismo, se ha caracterizado una proteina de membrana en m. Sexta que une cryia(b).  otros datos obtenidos son la caracterizacion de cepas resistentes a b.T.  de esta forma se observo la ausencia de cambios en los receptores para icps en cepas resistentes de p. Operculella y p.  xylostella.
