de algoritmos para la visualizaci\u00f3n en tiempo real de terrenos irregulares de grandes dimensiones.Los desafios que plantea este tipo de visualizaci\u00f3n desde un punto de vista computacional hace necesario el empleo de algoritmos de simplificaci\u00f3n.Para ello hemos optado por modelos de represetnaci\u00f3n jer\u00e1rquco que permitan reducir la complejidad del terreno y garanticen a su vez la calidad de la representaci\u00f3n visual, haciendo posible que diversas partes del terreno visibles al observador puedan mostrarse con diferentes niveles de detalle.La elecci\u00f3n de mallado irregular ha incrementado la complejidad de los algoritmos propuestos , sin embargo, ha proporcionado grandes ventajas, dado que permite aproximar una superficie para una exactitud determinada con menos triangulos que el esquema regular correspondiente, permitiendo obtener mayor n\u00famero de muestras en aquellas zonas que son rugosas y menos en las zonas
