an\u00e1lisis de las identidades nacionales puertorrique\u00f1as con el fin de entender proqu\u00e9 no se ha resuelto el problema de sujeci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica.Se plantea que la ra\u00edz de la sujecci\u00f3n se encuentra en la construci\u00f3n de identidades nacionales que se denominan problem\u00e1ticas.  se hace un an\u00e1lisis te\u00f3rico e hist\u00f3rico de la configuraci\u00f3n de las identidades nacionales.Se sostiene qu\u00e9 \u00e9stas se fundamentan en factores objetivos din\u00e1micos y sus configuraciones se encuentran en un punto intermedio entre afirmar una identidad fija y sustancial y otra fluida e insustancial.En el caso de las identidades nacionales puertorrique\u00f1as se satisfacen todos los factores excepto la aspiraci\u00f3n a la soberan\u00eda.Esto se debe a la derrota del macionalesmo pol\u00edtico.  el an\u00e1lisis de los procesos hist\u00f3ricos , pol\u00edticos y estructurales, a partir de la premodernidad de 1930, y la observaci\u00f3n de lo que se denomina modernizaci\u00f3n, a partir de finales de 1940, nos permite identificar una tipolog\u00eda de las identidades.Partiendo de aquellas que denomino matrices, m\u00e1s carcanas a los valores que definen los rasgos de un grupo nacional, incluyendo las aspiraciones a la soberan\u00eda y autonom\u00eda, se hace un an\u00e1lisis de los discursos y vida del h\u00e9roe real y m\u00edtico nacionalista , pedro albizu campos.  relacionadas conlas identidades matrices se configuran lo que he definido como identidades jaibas,rasgo que implica forma de pensar y conducta de oportunismo pragm\u00e1tico , que se desarrolla como mecanismo socio-cultural de adaptaci\u00f3n y supervivencia, especialmente , de las masas puertorrique\u00f1as.La mejor exposici\u00f3n de estos rasgos de identidad, conlo cual se acomoda a los puertorrique\u00f1os al proyecto de sujeci\u00f3n estadounidense , se encuentra en el discurso del primer gobernador elegido,luis mu\u00f1oz , fundador
