El an\u00e1lisis va dirigido a perfeccionar el criterio exclusivo de la edad como \u00fanico factor de riesgo de cromosomopatias. Se sabe que el criterio de riesgo basado exclusivamente en la edad materna solo permite diagnosticar un 25% de os fetos con s\u00edndrome de down, el 75% restante ocurre en pacients por debajo de la edad de corte (35 a\u00f1os). Etriple scrrening permite seleccionar una poblaci\u00f3n por debajo de los 35 a\u00f1os que seria susceptible de estudio invasi\u00f3n mediante amniocentesis. Los niveles de betahcg se correlacionan bien con el riesgo de s\u00edndrome de down. Asimismo, los niveles de alfafetoproteina se relacionan bien con defectos abiertos del tubo neural y con alteraci\u00f3n de la pared abdominal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
