Tambi\u00e9n se realiz\u00f3 el an\u00e1lisis de la virulencia de todos los clones descritos, mediante un modelo experimental animal de septicemia que se puso a punto en el laboratorio.  por \u00faltimo, se obtuvo la expresi\u00f3n diferencial de determinadas prote\u00ednas implicadas en virulencia, mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00eda prote\u00f3mica. se puso de manifiesto la implicaci\u00f3n del clon spain6b-2 en la producci\u00f3n de enfermedad causada por cepas de serotipo 6b, al encontrarse que las cepas de origen cl\u00ednico de serotipo 6b (invasivas y no invasivas) presentan una gran homogeneidad, ya que la mayor\u00eda de ellas se engloban dentro del mencionado clon multirresitente spain6b-2. Por otro lado, las cepas de portadores de serotipo 6b, manifiestan gran diversidad genot\u00edpica, al pertenecer, la mitad de ellas, a clones de diverso fondo gen\u00e9tico. No todas las cepas que circulan producen enfermedad con igual frecuencia. Es por ello que, independientemente de la importancia que pueda tener el tipo capsular, el genotipo de una cepa es un factor determinante para que un aislado pueda desarrollar infecci\u00f3n. El serotipo 6b  presenta una estructura de la poblaci\u00f3n b\u00e1sicamente clonal, agrup\u00e1ndose la mayor parte d las cepas en distintos complejos clonales y adem\u00e1s, y evoluciona principalmente por procesos de recombinaci\u00f3n.  destacar que en las cepas de serotipo 6b hay evidencias de posibles procesos de recombinaci\u00f3n a nivel del oper\u00f3n que codifica el polisac\u00e1rido capsular. con el modelo murino aplicado se hall\u00f3 que las c cepas que pertenecen al clon spain6b-2, independientemente del origen de aislamiento, son las que mayor grado de
