General la fe, para estudiar la etiolog\u00eda de la hepatopatia postrasplante renal (hptr), factores de riesgo asociados e influencia de la supervivencia del injerto y paciente, segun presencia de hptr y en los distintos grupos etiologicos. La preValencia de hptr fue del 41%. La etiolog\u00eda mas frecuente fue la relacionada con el virus c, afectando a mas de la mitad de los pacientes con hptr. El 12% de los pacientes eran portadores del antigeno hbs. Se constata una preValencia de anticuerpos frente al virus de la hepatitis c del 32%. La hptr se correlaciono con la presencia de hepatitis en dialisis, mayor numero de transfusiones, positividad a anticuerpos virus c, antigeno hbs y tratamiento con azatioprina. No hubieron diferencias significativas en la supervivencia del injerto, tanto en la serie global como en los distintos grupos etiologicos.
