Se emplea principalmente para la destrucci\u00f3n de residuos. Eficacias de destrucci\u00f3n superiores al 99% pueden conseguirse en tiempos de residencia inferiores a 1 minuto. Ha sido probada con \u00e9xito para residuos como ddts, armas qu\u00edmicas, residuos de baja rediactividad, farmace\u00faticos etc.  estas eliminaciones se deben a las propiedades de agua sup\u00e9rcr\u00edtica, que se comporta como un disolvente org\u00e1nico, con lo que las sustancias org\u00e1nicas son totalmente solubles mientras que las sales org\u00e1nicas precipitan. Los principales problemas de esta tecnolog\u00eda son el ambiente oxidante y la deposici\u00f3n de sales. La soluci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica de estos problemas pasa por la elecci\u00f3n correcta de materiales y el dise\u00f1o de reactores.  el reactor de pared transpirable es uno de estos reactores. Consiste en limitar la c\u00e1mara de reacci\u00f3n con una pared porosa a trav\u00e9s de la cual circula agua limpia que forma una pel\u00edcula protectora contra la deposici\u00f3n de sales, los corrosivos y las altas temperaturas.  en esta tesis se ha hecho un estudio experimental del comportamiento de un reactor de pared transpirable a escala piloto (40 kg\/h de alimentaci\u00f3n). se han estudiado cuatro configuraciones del reactor de pared transpirable, haciendo un estudio experimental individual de las variables de operaci\u00f3n y adem\u00e1s se ha tratado con \u00e9xito un residuo industrial. La \u00faltima configurac\u00f3n ensayada es un escalado, y est\u00e1 preparado para probarla a nivel piloto-demostraci\u00f3n (200 kg\/h).  tambi\u00e9n se ha realizado un modelo del reactor en estado estacionario, empleando modelos de flujo simples. Este modelo describe de forma precisa el comportamiento del reactor, y ha puesto de manifiesto la existencia de convecci\u00f3n natural en el mismo.  tambi\u00e9n se ha hecho un
