En particular, esta tesis versa sobre el an\u00e1lisis y dise\u00f1o de componentes en gu\u00eda de onda en la banda de frecuencias de microondas-milim\u00e9tricas. el objetivo es el dise\u00f1o de varios dispositivos con especificaciones de sistemas reales mediante t\u00e9cnicas de ajuste de campo (mode-matching).  dentro de este contexto general, la tesis se divide en dos grandes bloques: i) el an\u00e1lisis electromagn\u00e9tico riguroso de uniones en gu\u00eda de onda mediante m\u00e9todos de ajuste de campo y ii) la aplicaci\u00f3n de estos m\u00e9todos para el dise\u00f1o de dispositivos usados com\u00fanmente en sistemas de comunicaciones.  entre las diferentes herramientas cad que se utilizan en la banda de microondas y milim\u00e9tricas, las t\u00e9cnicas de ajuste de campo destacan por su eficiencia y precisi\u00f3n. No obstante, el conjunto de dispositivos que pueden abordar no es tan amplio como en otros m\u00e9todos menos eficientes pero m\u00e1s generales. este trabajo pretende ampliar este conjunto, presentando varias formulaciones que comparten el objetivo com\u00fan de la eficiencia.  el enfoque de la tesis es modular: los componentes en gu\u00eda de onda se segmentan en una serie de estructuras m\u00e1s simples caracterizadas por sus matrices multimodo, que generalmente son la matriz de dispersi\u00f3n generalizada y la matriz de admitancia generalizada. Los m\u00f3dulos b\u00e1sicos se analizan mediante las formulaciones de ajuste de campo desarrolladas en la tesis. El dispositivo a dise\u00f1ar resulta del ensamblado de los m\u00f3dulos b\u00e1sicos.  las estructuras o m\u00f3dulos b\u00e1sicos que se estudian en este trabajo son discontinuidades entre gu\u00eda de onda de diferente secci\u00f3n, uniones de forma c\u00fabica con discontinuidades internas y uniones cil\u00edndricas con contorno arbitrario.
