Las aplicaciones cient\u00edficas paralelas abarcan muchos campos como el modelado clim\u00e1tico, la din\u00e1mica de fluidos y el plegado de prote\u00ednas. Durante la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada una estrategia com\u00fan para construir m\u00e1quinas paralelas de altas prestaciones ha consistido en arquitecturas basadas en miles, o incluso decenas demiles, de procesadores conectados a trav\u00e9s de una red de interconexi\u00f3n de alta velocidad. En un entorno como \u00e9se, la comunicaci\u00f3n colectiva juega un papel clave en las prestaciones de las aplicaciones y el soporte eficiente del software del sistema.  la red de interconexi\u00f3n quadrics posee muchas caracter\u00edsticas destacadas que la han convertido en una excelente red para m\u00e1quinas paralelas de gran escala. Sin embargo, el hecho de que las tendencias actuales en supercomputaci\u00f3n se muevan hacia las computadoras masivamente paralelas, con muchos miles de componentes, ha convertido la fiabilidad en un reto. En ese escenario, las comunicaciones colectivas en la red quadrics se degradan significativamente en presencia del fallo de, incluso, un solo nodo.  esta tesis presenta un mecanismo eficiente y escalable para superar las limitaciones de la comunicaci\u00f3n colectiva en la red de interconexi\u00f3n quadrics en presencia de fallos. Para ello, la factibilidad del mecanismo propuesto es demostrada  formalmente. Presentamos el dise\u00f1o de un nuevo algoritmo de encaminamiento con soporte hardware para multicasts, que est\u00e1 en la base de nuestra propuesta, \u00e1rboles multicast con soporte hardware. El mecanismo propuesto es implementado y evaluado experimentalmente.  nuestros resultados experimentales muestran que los \u00e1rboles multicast con soporte hardware proporcionan una soluci\u00f3n
