Es bien sabido que los m\u00e9todos rkn, ampliamente usados en la literatura, aparecen de manera natural como una generalizaci\u00f3n de los m\u00e9todos runge-kutta cuando estos \u00faltimos son aplicados en la discretizaci\u00f3n de ecuaciones de segundo orden en tiempo, que han sido transformadas previamente en un sistema de primer orden en tiempo.  para estos m\u00e9todos hemos estudiado la estabilidad y la reducci\u00f3n de orden que surge cuando se integran ecuaciones en derivadas parciales mediante el m\u00e9todo de l\u00edneas, as\u00ed como la manera de evitar esta reducci\u00f3n de orden. tambi\u00e9n se ha estudiado la estabilidad cuando el operador espacial es el generador de una funci\u00f3n coseno y el integrador temporal es un m\u00e9todo racional dise\u00f1ado para
