De Los Angeles <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Esta tesis se engloba en un proyecto de aplicaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas de mejora a trav\u00e9s de m\u00e9todos biotecnol\u00f3gicos a especies se ve dificultada tanto le\u00f1osas. La mejora tradicional de estas especies se ve dificultada tanto por los largos ciclos vitales de las plantas como por el hecho de que las caracteristicas de inter\u00e9s que se quieren introducir deben encontrarse en plantas con las que se puedan cruzar. Estos inconvenientes se puedeen solucionar utilizando t\u00e9cnicas biolencotl\u00edcas. Estas t\u00e9cnicas abarcan el cultivo in vitro consistente en cultivar las plantas en condiciones s\u00e9pticas dentro de frascos cerrados con un medio nutritivo. La ingenier\u00eda gen\u00e9tica o transformaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica es un conjunto de t\u00e9cnicas que permiten alternar las caracteristicas de un organismo mediante la modificaci\u00f3n de su genoma.  en espa\u00f1a se consume el dobre de toneladas de kiwi (28.000 toneladas\/a\u00f1o)que las que seproducen (13.500 toneladas\/a\u00f1o), siendo galicia la principal comunidad productora. Con el cual resulta evidente el interes en la mejora del kiwi.  la produci\u00f3n mundial est\u00e1 basado en el cultivar femenino \u00abhayward\u00bb. Por lo cual se ha introducido en condiciones in vitro material vegetal procedente de plantas adultas selecionadas de este cultivar.  a partir de explantos (porciones de plantas) se ha buscado un protocolo para obtener gran cantidad de brotes mediante la inducci\u00f3n de yemas en explantos que previamente no las conten\u00edan.
