Se proponen diversos dispositivos en tecnolog\u00eda microstrip, tallando un patr\u00f3n peri\u00f3dico en el plano de masa del mismo. Una considerable reducci\u00f3n de espacio se consigue al aplicar perfiles unidimensionales, as\u00ed como disposiciones compactas basadas en topolog\u00edas en meandro. Se discute, adem\u00e1s, la implementaci\u00f3n de un resonador en tecnolog\u00eda plana.Posteriormente, se implementa una gu\u00eda por defecto de canal en un cristal fot\u00f3nico implementado en tecnolog\u00eda plana de bajo coste. De esta manera, se pueden conseguir dispositivos con altos factores de calidad. El siguiente paso es la implementaci\u00f3n de estructuras ebg en tecnolog\u00eda coplanar. El objetivo pr\u00e1ctico es poder implementar dispositivos tales como filtros de muy altas prestaciones. Para ello, se combina una estructura cargada peri\u00f3dicamente con elementos capacitivos con un ebg tallado en los planos de masa o en la tira central conductora de la gu\u00eda coplanar.La \u00faltima parte de la tesis se centra en sintetizar medio zurdos en tecnolog\u00eda plana mediante el empleo de anillos split ring resonators (srr) junto con un medio de finos hilos met\u00e1licos. De esta manera, se consigue la primera implementaci\u00f3n a nivel mundial de un metamaterial lhm de bajas p\u00e9rdidas. Una evoluci\u00f3n a este dispositivo se obtiene al proponer una nueva part\u00edcula, denominada srr complementario, en el que se intercambia el papel del aire y del metal. De esta manera, es posible excitar el csrr con un campo el\u00e9ctrico en vez de una magn\u00e9tico, logrando introducir la part\u00edcula de manera exitosa en una l\u00ednea microstrip.
