Bajo ciertos factores predisponentes, c\u00e1ndida spp., Puede convertirse en un pat\u00f3geno capaz de causar una variedad de infecciones superficiales y sistem\u00e1ticas. Nuestro grupo ha desarrollado un anticuerpo monoclonal, el amc c7, frente a una manoprote\u00ednade c.Albicans que presenta actividades antif\u00fangicas y antitumorales, disminuye la adhisi\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas de c.Albicans a l\u00edneas celulares, composites h\u00edbridos y resinas utilizadas en la restauraci\u00f3n dental, y disminuye la filamentaci\u00f3n de c.Albicans.  la manoprote\u00edna reconocida por el acm c7 es reconocida asimismo por la iga secretora de la saliva, por lo que se presenta como un ant\u00edgeno de especialinter\u00e9s que pudiera tener relevancia en la patog\u00e9nesis de c.Alvicans. la identificaci\u00f3n de dicho ant\u00edgeno de alto peso molecular y la caracterizaci\u00f3n del mecanismo de acci\u00f3n del amc c7 mediante el an\u00e1lisis por microaarays han sido los objetivos de este trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n.  mediante t\u00e9cnicas avanzadas de secuenciaci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas como el an\u00e1lisis mediante maldi-tof y hplc-trampa i\u00f3nica, se consigui\u00f3 identificar la prote\u00edna como als3p. Esta prote\u00edna pertenece a una familia de prote\u00ednas de c.Albicans, la familia als, que consta de 9 tejidos del hospedador y distintos sustratos, por lo que representan un papel muy importante en la patog\u00e9nesis del hongo. recientemente se ha demostrado que la funcionalidad de lam ol\u00e9cula reside en la fracci\u00f3n n-terminal de dichas prote\u00ednas. En este trabajo hemos demostrado que el amc c7 reconoce una fracci\u00f3n del extremo amino de la prote\u00edna als3p, de manera que este reconocimiento puede tener que ver con la actividad de inhibici\u00f3n de la adhesi\u00f3n de c.Albicans que presenta este amc.
