Las t\u00e9cnicas que se han puesto en marcha podr\u00edan clasificarse, de manera un tanto simplista, en t\u00e9cnicas \u00abbasadas en el conocimiento\u00bb, que utilizan informaci\u00f3n aportada por expertos ling\u00ed\u00bcistas, y t\u00e9cnicas \u00abbasadas en ejemplos\u00bb, que extraen la informaci\u00f3n autom\u00e1ticamente a partir de corpus de texto.  el trabajo de esta tesis se enmarca en la seguna familia de t\u00e9cnicas, las basadas en ejemplos. Nos hemos centrado en el uso de un modelo en particular: el de los transductores estoc\u00e1sticos de estados finitos. Este modelo (y otros parecidos) se utiliza en muchas \u00e1reas de las tecnolog\u00edas del lenguaje y con finalidades diferentes. Nosotros lo utilizamos aqu\u00ed para la traducci\u00f3n entre lenguas distintas.  la tesis aborda el problema de la creaci\u00f3n de transductores estoc\u00e1sticos de estados finitos a partir de muestras de traducci\u00f3n. Estas muestras consisten en pares de frases en idiomas diferentes en los que una frase es traducci\u00f3n de la otra. Por un lado, aportamos varios algoritmos para la estimaci\u00f3n de la parte probabil\u00edstica de los transductores, sobre el supuesto de que se conoce ya la estructura. Por otro lado, y como contribuci\u00f3n fundamental del trabajo, se expone un m\u00e9todo y un conjunto de algoritmos para inferir transductores  (con estructura y probabilidades) a partir de muestras, que agrupamos bajo las siglas gen\u00e9ricas de giati (por el ingl\u00e9s, grammatical inference algorithms. esta memoria presenta una primera exposici\u00f3n te\u00f3rica de estos algoritmos, y contin\u00faa con un estudio pr\u00e1ctico de implementaci\u00f3n en el que se exploran diferentes formas de poner en uso giati. Se presentan tambi\u00e9n estudios experimentales de traducci\u00f3n que ponen de manifiesto las posibilidades reales de aplicaci\u00f3n de estas t\u00e9cnicas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
