Empleando dicho protocolo experimental hemos querido estudiar la funcionalidad delas estructuras con respuesta fisiol\u00f3gica a la hipoxia (c\u00e9lulas quimiorreceptoras del cuerpo carot\u00eddeo, c\u00e9lulas de m\u00fasculo liso de arteria pulmonar y c\u00e9lulas productoras de eritropoyetina)tras someter alos animales de estudio a unos niveles de ox\u00edgeno de 55 al 60%, utilizando dicho portocolo experimental para estudiar los efectos que podr\u00eda tener la estancia en la incubadora a la que se ven sometidos los ni\u00f1os prematuros. El objetivo final ser\u00eda identificar, el caso de encontrarse diferencias en estas estructuras entre los animales controles y los hiper\u00f3xidos, los pasos de la cscada de transducci\u00f3n del est\u00edmulo hip\u00f3cico que han resultado afectados por la hip\u00f3xico que han resuoltado afectados por la hiperoxia, y por medio de mircroarrays diferenciales ser capaces de identificar los genes implicados en esta respuesta alterada.  por otro lado el papel de ciertos neurotransmisores en la etapa de quimiotransducci\u00f3n en el cuerpo carot\u00eddeo tampoco est\u00e1 aclarada, entre ellos el papel que tendr\u00eda en esta etapa la sustancia p y la dopamina.
