En la gl\u00e1ndula submandibular (gsm) de rata se han detectado varios receptores purin\u00e9rgicos del tipo p2x. Estos receptores tras su activaci\u00f3n generan intercambio de iones con el medio extracelular y despolarizaci\u00f3n de la membrana plasm\u00e1tica. la exposici\u00f3n de los acinos de gsm de rata al atp (1,5 mm) estimula la actividad fosfolipasa d (pld). estas c\u00e9lulas carecen de las isoformas pld1 y pld dependiente de oleico, mientras que s\u00ed expresan la actividad pld2. el mecanismo por el cual el atp estimula la actividad pld2 en ancinos implica:     1,- influjo de ca2+     2,- estimulaci\u00f3n de la actividad prote\u00edna quinasa.     3,- estimulaci\u00f3n de la actividad fosfolipasas a2.     adem\u00e1s es independiente de la movilizaci\u00f3n de ca2+ intracelular y de la actividad fosfolipasa c espec\u00edfica de fosfoinositoles. en las mismas condiciones y de manera dependiente de la activaci\u00f3n de la fosfolipasa d2, el atp estimula la secreci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas, incluyendo enzimas con actividad peroxidasa.  por otra parte, el aumento de la dosis de atp (5 mm) produce apoptosis en los acinos elevando los niveles de las caspasas 3, 8 y 9, de cer\u00e1midos, y produciendo fragmentaci\u00f3n del dan.  la exposici\u00f3n de los acinos a inhibidores y antagonistas del receptor p2x7 anula los efectos del atp. Por lo tanto, la activaci\u00f3n de la fosfolipasa d2, la estimulaci\u00f3n de la secreci\u00f3n, el aumento de cer\u00e1midos y la inducci\u00f3n de la apoptosis por atp en acinos de gsm de rata son
