Los c\u00e1lculos dft b3lyp\/6-31g* predicen paralos is\u00f3meros z\/e de amidas secundarias conformaciones anti entre los protones sobre el nitr\u00f3geno y sobre el carbono alfa al mismo (\u00e1ngulo diedro h-n-c alfa-h cercano a 180\u00c2\u00ba). tambi\u00e9n predicen una conformaci\u00f3n en el resto ac\u00edlico que en los is\u00f3meros z sit\u00faa siempre un prot\u00f3n en anti al ox\u00edgeno carbon\u00edlico (\u00e1ngulo diedro o-c-c alfa-h cercano a 180\u00c2\u00ba). La interpretaci\u00f3n de los datos de resonancia magn\u00e9tica nuclear de acetamidas y formamidas secundarias en relaci\u00f3n con estas preferencias conformacionales ha permitido elaborar una ecuaci\u00f3n, que describe el desapantallamiento provocado por esta funci\u00f3n en relaci\u00f3n con los datos geom\u00e9tricos, en los protones con-ch alfa. Un estudio similar del resto ac\u00edlico realizado a partir de carboxamidas ha permitido proponer otra ecuaci\u00f3n, que describe el desapantallamiento originado en los protones nco-ch alfa. Estas ecuaciones se han utilizado en el desarrollo de otra expresi\u00f3n, que permite el c\u00e1lculo del desplazamiento qu\u00edmico de los protones situados en prote\u00ednas entre dos restos pept\u00eddicos (-nh-co-chr-nh-co-). En su aplicaci\u00f3n al c\u00e1lculo del desplazamiento qu\u00edmico en d2o de los citados protones en 2153 amino\u00e1cidos de 13 prote\u00ednas, cuyos datos est\u00e1n recogidos en bancos de estructuras, se ha encontrado un error promedio, o diferencia en valor absoluto entre los desplazamientos calculados y encontrados, de 0,44 ppm, y una desviaci\u00f3n est\u00e1ndar sobre el error
