Se describe una estrategia nueva y concisa para la s\u00edntesis del f\u00e1rmaco (s)-(+)-zopiclona que presenta una f\u00e1cil aplicabilidad a escala industrial. Este proceso incluye como etapa clave la hidr\u00f3lisis enzim\u00e1tica de una serie de nuevos carbonatos intermedios. Tambi\u00e9n se han analizado los par\u00e1metros que afectan a la selectividad de estos procesos, como el biocatalizador, disolvente, concentraci\u00f3n de agua, ph y aditivos.
