Por lo tanto, las actividades de los agentes del mercado, a saber, los generadores, los consumidores y el operador del sistema, se modelan del siguiente modo:  * los generadores buscan maximizar el beneficio de venta de energ\u00eda.  * los consumidores persiguen maximizar su utilidad derivada de la compra de energ\u00eda.  * el operador del sistema cierra el mercado buscando maximizar el beneficio social neto.  una vez definidos los problemas de cada uno de los agentes del mercado se resuelve el equilibrio de mercado haciendo uso de la teor\u00eda complementaria para disponer de la capacidad de imponer restricciones en las variables duales. De este modo, definidos los problemas de optimizaci\u00f3n individuales que modelan el comportamiento de los diferentes agentes del mercado, se obtienen las condiciones de optimalidad de karush-kuhn-ticker de los problemas de los generadores, de los consumidores y del operador del sistema, que son necesarias y suficientes para encontrar la soluci\u00f3n de dichos problemas. el conjunto de todas estas condiciones de optimalidad constituye un problema lineal complementario cuya soluci\u00f3n es el equilibrio del mercado el\u00e9ctrico.  a continuaci\u00f3n, se incluyen las condiciones de beneficios m\u00ednimos para los generadores en el problema de equilibrio del mercado el\u00e9ctrico.
