Dicho di\u00e1logo, que permite aumentar que la serie forma parte de la tendencia de renovado inter\u00e9s por la memoria caracter\u00edstica de la narrativa inglesa contempor\u00e1nea, se articula en dos niveles: el hist\u00f3rico -en el que las vivencias de los personajes se sit\u00faan sobre el trasfondo de la historia brit\u00e1nica reciente, desde la coronaci\u00f3n de isabel ii en 1953 hasta los albores del movimiento feminista a comienzos de los a\u00f1os 70-, y el intertextual, donde el pasado literario, pict\u00f3rico, y de m\u00faltiples discursos del conocimiento humano aflora en el presente bajo la forma de una compleja red de citas, ecos y alusiones.  estos dos niveles sirven como eje de articulaci\u00f3n de la tesis doctoral, que se estructura en cuatro grandes bloques -uno por cada una de las novelas del cuarteto-, divididos a su vez en cap\u00edtulos que investigan la dimensi\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica e intertextual de las diferentes obras. Adem\u00e1s, dichos bloques est\u00e1n precedidos por una secci\u00f3n de car\u00e1cter te\u00f3rico sobre la intertextualidad en la que la autora ofrece una s\u00edntesis actualizada de las variadas aproximaciones al fen\u00f3meno intertextual que se han desarrollado desde que julia kristeva, acu\u00f1ara el t\u00e9rmino en 1967, as\u00ed como una tipolog\u00eda de la intertextualidad que resulta \u00fatil para estudiar las estrategias que byatt pone en pr\u00e1ctica en su cuarteto. Esta tipolog\u00eda, que distingue entre la intertextualidad literaria, la pict\u00f3rica, y con otros discursos, vertebra el an\u00e1lisis del nivel intertextual de los distintos vol\u00famenes de la serie, de tal modo que si el cap\u00edtulo de the virgin in the garden refleja la interacci\u00f3n de los tres \u00e1mbitos, los de still life y babel tower se dedic<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
