Bel\u00e9n Lled\u00f3 Bosch <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Haloferax mediterranei es un microorganismo hal\u00f3filo extremo clasificado dentro del dominio archaea. Este mircroorganismo  es capaz de crecer en medio m\u00ednimo con glucosa como \u00fanica fuente de carbono y nitrato o nitrito como \u00fanica fuente de nitr\u00f3geno. Hfx. Mediterranei manifiesta una elevada versarilidad fisol\u00f3gica.  cuando la disponibilidad de ox\u00edgeno en el medio es baja o nula, esta archaeon es capaz de crecer empleando no3-como aceptor terminalde la cadena de transporte de electrones. A pesar del reciente n\u00famero de genomas secuenciados no existe hasta el momento identificado ning\u00fan gen implicado en la asimilaci\u00f3n del no3- en arqueas. En este trabajo, por primera vez para un organismo archaea, se han obtenido , secuenciado y analizado  los genes para las nas (nasa),nark (nasb), moba (nasc) y nir (nasd). Estos genes se encuentran organizados en un oper\u00f3n que contiene los genes nasabc y otro monocistr\u00f3nico. Nasd , que se encuentran controlados por diferentes promotores. La regulaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n est\u00e1 controlada a nivel transcripcional por sistemas generales, que corresponden  a la disponibilidad de una fuente preferencial de nitr\u00f3geno y un control espec\u00edfico, que responde a la disponibilidad de no3-\/no2-. con el fin de comprobar la utilidad de la expresi\u00f3n heter\u00f3loga de enzimas hal\u00f3filas para obtener elevadas cantidades de prote\u00edna se emple\u00f3 la nir de hfx. Mediterranei.
