Existen evidencias tanto anat\u00f3micas como electrofisiol\u00f3gicas de la expresi\u00f3n presin\u00e1ptica de los mglurs del grupo ii y iii y de una localizaci\u00f3n preferentemente postsin\u00e1ptica de los mglurs del grupo i. Sin embargo, numerosos estudios fisiol\u00f3gicos y neuroqu\u00edmicos sugieren que los receptores metabotr\u00f3picos del grupo i tambi\u00e9n ejercen una modulaci\u00f3n de la neurotransmisi\u00f3n a nivel presin\u00e1ptico. Esta aparente contradicci\u00f3n podr\u00eda explicarse por la existencia de una interacci\u00f3n del os mglurs del grupo i y el receptor cb1, que es el principal receptor de cannabionoides en el sistema nervioso central. en esta tesis doctoral nos propusimos aportar informaci\u00f3n sobre la localizaci\u00f3n subcelular del receptor metabotr\u00f3pico de glutamanto mgluir1 a del grupo i y del receptor de cannabionoides cb1 en el sistema del c\u00e1liz de held-neurona principal a nivel del n\u00facleo medial del cuerpo trapezoide de la v\u00eda auditiva.  en este estudio empleamos t\u00e9cnicas inmunocitoqu\u00edmicas de alta resoluci\u00f3n para microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que el receptor mglur1a es postsin\u00e1ptico en el 90% de las neuronas principales, mientras que el receptor cb1 es presin\u00e1ptico en la mitad de los c\u00e1lices de held que hacen sinapsis sobre los cuerpos celulares de las neuronas principales. Estas observaciones apoyan las evidencias electrofisiol\u00f3gicas y farmacol\u00f3gicas sobre el efecto modulador ejercido por el receptor postsin\u00e1ptico mglur1a sobre la transmisi\u00f3n nerviosa en el sistema c\u00e1liz de held-neurona principal a trav\u00e9s de la activaci\u00f3n del receptor cb1 presin\u00e1ptico.     por otra parte, tambi\u00e9n nos propusimos estudiar la localizaci\u00f3n subcelular de diferentes transportadores de glutamato durante el desarrollo postnatal del sistema del c\u00e1liz de held-neurona principal.
