La estructura de la precabeza revela la presencia de la prote\u00edna de andamiaje, el n\u00facleo y el conector, involucrados estos \u00faltimos en el empaquetamiento del dna, y que est\u00e1n situados en uno de los v\u00e9rtices pentam\u00e9ricos. La reconstruci\u00f3n del viri\u00f3n maduro revela cambios dr\u00e1sticos en la c\u00e1psida, la  desaparaci\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna de andamiaje, y cambios estructurales dr\u00e1sticos en el n\u00facleo, que en este caso sobresale de la c\u00e1psida para interaccionar con la cola.
