Se han escogido con este fin las reflexiones de mullita 110, 120, 210, 001, 220, 111 y 121. Las mullitas sinteticas se obtuvieron a partir de la transformacion termica de caolines y cianita, y por calcinacion de mezclas caolin-alumina. Los resultados del estudio indican que existe una relacion inversa entre la cristalinidad de la caolinita inicial y la de la mullita formada por transformacion termica, de manera que las caolinitas mas cristalinas originan las mullitas menos cristalinas. Los cristalitos de mullita muestran un desarrollo preferente a lo largo de la direccion del eje c a temperaturas de obtencion inferiores a los 1300 grados c, mientras que a 1500 grados c se observa un notable desarrollo de los cristales a lo largo de otras direcciones. Estos resultados confirman un cambio entre morfolog\u00edas prismaticas y tabulares asociado a la temperatura.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
