La principal dificultad en el estudio de estos organismos es que se necesita interrumpir el estado de latencia de las ascosporas. Con este fin se aplican diferentes m\u00e9todos de aislamiento y de activaci\u00f3n de ascoporas. Son presisamnete los m\u00e9todos de estudio los que condicionar\u00e1n nuestros conocimientos sobre este grupo de organismos. la clasificaci\u00f3n de los ascomicetos, hasta hace pocos a\u00f1os estaba basada exclusivamente en criterios morfol\u00f3gicos. En la actualidad se disponen de m\u00e9todos m\u00e1s objetivos, entre ellos la inferencia de relaciones filogen\u00e9ticas a partir de las secuencias del adn ribos\u00f3mico. Estos m\u00e9todos han permitido proponer sistemas de clasificaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s naturales. Sin embargo, en la clasificaci\u00f3n de los ascomicetes a\u00fan existen numerosas interrogantes taxon\u00f3micas. Esto se debe a que en muchos grupos las delimitaciones entre los taxones est\u00e1n basadas exclusivamente en caracteres morfol\u00f3gicos, y estas relaciones suelen tener escasa relaci\u00f3n con la filogenia obtenida a partir de las secuencias del adn ribos\u00f3mico.  Nos hemos centrado en el estudio de los g\u00e9neros neurospora y gelasinospora y en los g\u00e9neros circunscritos a la familia coniochaetaceae, donde persisten varias problem\u00e1ticas taxon\u00f3micas. Nos hemos planteado com principales objetivos: 1ro contribuir al conocimiento taxon\u00f3mico de los miembros de la clase sordariomycetes. 2do  determinar las relaciones filogen\u00e9ticas entre los g\u00e9neros gelasinospora y neurospora. 3ro determinar la filogenia molecular de la familia coniochaetaceae.
