Destacando las proyecciones tanto aferentes o marcaje retrogrado, como eferentes o marcaje anterogrado a las diferentes subregiones de la pag a lo largo de su eje rostrocaudal, formando el circuito intrinseco de la pag tras inyeccion de bda en la subdivision dorsolateral de la pag mediante tecnicas de iontoforesis; describiendose la tipolog\u00eda neuronal en la pag, clasificando las neuronas en tres tipos:  multipolares o estrelladas, fusiformes o bipolares y triangulares, formando \u00abclusters\u00bb. La bda ha permitido obtener marcaje retrogrado del soma, axon, y arbol dendritico, al mismo tiempo que marcaje anterogrado de las eferencias observandose estas como fibras con engrosamientos periodicos, arrosariadas, con candelas o cestillos, observandose tanto neuronas cercanas como a gran distancia interconectadas entre si. Se han descrito aferencias y eferencias a lo largo del snc, corroborando las conexiones ya descritas por otros autores y aportando el conocimiento de otras nuevas. Describiendo tres tractos fibrosos: una banda dorsal, una banda periventricular y una banda ventral que han originado las eferencias tanto ascendentes como descendentes en los diferentes grupos
