Estos tintes son de dificil tratamiento, pues los procesos biol\u00f3gicos aerobios convencionales pr\u00e1cticamente no son capaces de degradarlos, mientras que mediante los procesos anaerobios se generan aminas arom\u00e1ticas de potencial car\u00e1cter cancer\u00edgeno. Una alternativa puede ser la degradaci\u00f3n de tintes mediante las enzimas oxidativas de hongos ligninol\u00edticos y, en particular, la enzima manganeso peroxidasa (mnp).  el objetivo global de este trabajo es el desarrollo de tecnolog\u00edas avanzadas para el tratamiento en continuo de compuestos xenobi\u00f3ticos basados en procesos de oxidaci\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica in vitro. Se consider\u00f3 el tinte azo orange i1como compuesto modelo, ya que por su car\u00e1cter azo puede ser representativo de un elevado n\u00famero de tintes empleados en la industr\u00eda textil. La degradaci\u00f3n en continuo de una corriente coloreada se llev\u00f3 a cabo siguiendo dos configuraciones: la primera, basada en la aplicaci\u00f3n de enzima libre, en un reactor continuo de tanque agitado asociado a una membrana de ultrafiltraci\u00f3n que permite la retenci\u00f3n de la enzima y su recirculaci\u00f3n al reactor. La segunda estrategia se bas\u00f3 en la utilizaci\u00f3n de enzima inmovilizada sobre un soporte, lo que facilit\u00f3 su retenci\u00f3n y reutilizaci\u00f3n. Para este estudio fue necesario desarrollar distintas t\u00e9cnicas de inmovilizaci\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica, basadas en uniones i\u00f3nicas y cova\/entes entre la enzima y el soporte. La selecci\u00f3n de la mejor t\u00e9cnica se realiz\u00f3 considerando, entre otros aspectos, la capacidad del soporte para retener la enzima, la p\u00e9rdida de actividad de la enzima durante el proceso de inmovilizaci\u00f3n y la facilidad de activaci\u00f3n del soporte.
