Sin embargo, en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, a los problemas cl\u00e1sicos que provocaban la destrucci\u00f3n del pavimento (condiciones clim\u00e1ticas extremas, cargas debidas al tr\u00e1fico, etc.) Se les han sumado otros como el mayor paso de los veh\u00edculos, y las retenciones de tr\u00e1fico derivadas del continuo aumento de veh\u00edculos en circulaci\u00f3n. Todos estos factores en su conjunto incrementan la velocidad de deterioro de las carreteras, los cual conlleva un aumento de los trabajos de reconstrucci\u00f3n y mantenimiento de los pavimentos.     el objetivo de esta tesis es estudiar la modificaci\u00f3n de betunes procedentes de la destilaci\u00f3n del petr\u00f3leo, mediante la adici\u00f3n de pol\u00edmeros v\u00edrgenes y reciclados, con objeto de mejorar las propiedades viscoel\u00e1sticas y la durabilidad de estos materiales. Para ello se trabajo con dos grupos de modificantes polim\u00e9ricos distintos:     * polietilenos v\u00edrgenes sintetizados mediante cat\u00e1lisis conveniconal y metaloc\u00e9nica.     *
