M\u00e1s precisamente, trata de programas inform\u00e1ticos que extraen autom\u00e1ticamente descripciones r\u00edtmicas a partir de se\u00f1ales musicales de audio. presentamos nuevos algoritmos para la inducci\u00f3n del tempo, la estimaci\u00f3n del \u00abtatum\u00bb, la determinaci\u00f3n del comp\u00e1s, la estimaci\u00f3n del \u00abswing\u00bb, transformaciones de \u00abswing\u00bb y la clasificaci\u00f3n de estilos de m\u00fasica de baile. Estos algoritmos procesan directamente grabaciones digitalizadas de se\u00f1ales ac\u00fasticas de m\u00fasica. La base de estos algoritmos son funciones de periodicidad r\u00edtmica: funciones que miden la importancia de una pulsaci\u00f3n r\u00edtmica en funci\u00f3n del periodo (o la frecuencia) de la misma, calculadas a partir de atributos f\u00edsicos instant\u00e1neos seleccionados para poner en evidencia aspectos r\u00edtmicos del sonido. Estos atributos se calculan con una frecuencia de nuestro constante sobre segmentos cortos de la se\u00f1al de audio.     nuestros algoritmos determinan el tiempo y el \u00abtatum\u00bb de m\u00fasica de diferentes g\u00e9neros, con tempo casi constante, con una precisi\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 80% si no insistimos en encontrar un nivel m\u00e9trico espec\u00edfico. Identifican el comp\u00e1s con una precisi\u00f3n de 90%, se conocen niveles m\u00e9tricos m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidos.
