Tambi\u00e9n se han empezado a describir en organismos inferiores y \u00faltimamente en algunos microorganismos. la lipoxigenasa de pseudomonas aeruginosa es la primera lipoxigenasa descrita en procariotas. Son enzimas que transforman los \u00e1cidos grasos en derivados hidroxilados.  el uso de enzimas esta cada vez mas extendido a nivel industrial, con el objetivo de transformar substratos o bien para obtener productos con elevada especificidad. Este \u00e9s el objetivo de esta tesis doctoral, clonar y sobre expresar la lipoxigenasa de pseudomonas aeruginasa en e. Coli, en cantidades suficientes con tal de obtener derivados hidroxilados de los \u00e1cidos grasos gracias a la transformaci\u00f3n por parte de la lipoxigenasa. Este estudio se encuentra enmarcado dentro del proyecto ctq-0771-co2-01\/ppq.  se han generado y purificado diferente formes de la prote\u00edna recombinante mediante tecnolog\u00edas del dna recombinante. Una de estas prote\u00ednas recombinantes se ha caracterizado determinando el espectro de substratos (siendo activa hacia el \u00e1cido araquid\u00f3nico, linoleico, linolenico i oleico), les condiciones de reacci\u00f3n tales como ara ph optimo (variable dependiente del substrato en tre 6 i 8), la temperatura \u00f3ptima de reacci\u00f3n (25c)i la estabilidad t\u00e9rmica (activa hasta los 50c).
