Kshv es el agente etiol\u00f3gico responsable de la enfermedad proliferativas de c\u00e9lulas endoteliales, el sarcoma de kaposi, o de c\u00e9lulas b, como la enfermedad de castleman o el linfoma de efusi\u00f3n primario. La prote\u00edna lana2 se expresa exclusivamente en c\u00e9lulas b infectadas con el virus, y se ha visto que tiene actividad anti-apopt\u00f3tica por inhibici\u00f3n de la apoptosis dependiente de p53 o pkr. En este trabajo, hemos profundizado en la actividad oncog\u00e9nica de la prote\u00edna lana2, y hemos demostrado que su localizaci\u00f3n subcelular, es dependiente de la presencia de una se\u00f1al de localizaci\u00f3n nuclear, y una se\u00f1al de exportaci\u00f3n nuclear, y que la funcionalidad de estas se\u00f1ales es esencial para la actividad de la prote\u00edna. Adem\u00e1s, hemos demostrado que lana2 interacciona con la familia de prote\u00edna de retinobastoma a trav\u00e9s de un dominio consenso de uni\u00f3n (lxcxe), y que la interacci\u00f3n de lana2 con estas prote\u00ednas tiene un importante papel en la actividad transformante de la prote\u00edna. Tambi\u00e9n en este trabajo hemos descrito la importancia de lana2 en la supervivencia de las c\u00e9lulas b infectadas con ksvh, y hemos descrito la interacci\u00f3n con la familia de prote\u00ednas 14-3-3, y como esta uni\u00f3n afecta al control del ciclo celular de las c\u00e9lulas infectadas con el virus. Finalmente, en esta tesis se describe la actividad antiviral de dos importantes supresores de tumores, como son p53 y arf, estableciendo una nueva conexi\u00f3n entre respuesta antiviral y e
