Agentes proinflamatorios como lipopolisacarido, trombina y c5a causan leves aumentos en la adhesion, incrementan el grado de activacion de los leucocitos circulantes y originan graves lesiones endoteliales. Las albuminas obtenidas por choque termico tienen un caracter proinflamatorio, y provocan aumento del nivel de adhesion de monocitos en los dos vasos y en el grado de activacion de los leucocitos circulantes. Estas albuminas son captadas por los receptores \u00abscavenger\u00bb endoteliales y su caracter proinflamatorio se debe a peque\u00f1as alteraciones conformacionales por intercambios intramoleculares en los puentes disulfuro. Las albuminas obtenidas por choque termico son un buen modelo de estudio de la adhesion de monocitos al endotelio de los grandes vasos al causar rapidos incrementos en los niveles de adhesion sin
