Los modelos incluyen las ecuaciones de calculo de las propiedades termofisicas de los refrigerantes utilizados habitualmente en los equipos de aire acondicionado en automocion (cfc12 y hfc134a). En los modelos se considera la variacion de presion del refrigerante a lo largo del intercambiador. Tambien se modela el funcionamiento de la valvula de expansion termostatica del sistema de aire acondicionado en automocion. Se incluye un modelo de un tipo de compresor (alternativo de 7 pistones). Todos los modelos se han validado con resultados experimentales.  a partir de los modelos anteriores se desarrolla un modelo del ciclo global de aire acondicionado, que tambien ha sido validado con
