Dentro de este contexto, los proceso catalizados por enzimas cumplen el requisito de ser respetuosos con el medio ambiente. La m\u00e1xima prioridad es obtener lana resistente al encogimiento, pero si los enzimas se aplican a los niveles necesarios para obtener los valores de encogimiento deseados, las fibras de lana resultan muy da\u00f1adas. Por este motivo la acci\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica debe estar perfectamente controlada.     en la presente tesis se ha intentado controlar la actividad enzim\u00e1tica mediante el recubrimiento de las fibras con el biopol\u00edmero quitosano. As\u00ed, el objetivo ha sido estudiar un nuevo procedimiento respetuoso con el medio ambiente para reducir el encogimiento de los tejidos de lana mediante le tratamiento con enzimas proteol\u00edticos con una m\u00ednima degradaci\u00f3n de la calidad de la fibra.     a partir de los resultados obtenidos se ha observado que:     a,- la presencia del biopol\u00edmero quitosano en las fibras contribuye a mejorar la resistencia al encogimiento y la deformaci\u00f3n al estallido.     b,- el quitosano se deposita en la superficie de las fibras formando un film e interacciona con las prote\u00ednas de las fibras dificultando su solubilizaci\u00f3n.     c,- el tratamiento enzim\u00e1tico es irregular pues mientras algunas fibras resultan da\u00f1adas otras permanecen intactas.     d,- la resistencia al estallido y la resistencia a la abrasi\u00f3n disminuye por el incremento en la concentraci\u00f3n de enzima, sin embargo se observa un efecto protector por parte del quitosano cuando se utilizan concentraciones elevadas de enzima.     e,- se han establecido las condiciones \u00f3ptimas de tratamiento para obtener la m\u00e1xima reducci\u00f3n del encogimiento con
