La estimulaci\u00f3n del tcr tambi\u00e9n es capaz de inducir muerte celular por apoptosis mediada por la interacci\u00f3n fas\/fasl, proceso denominado muerte celular inducida por activaci\u00f3n o aicd (del ingl\u00e9s \u00abactivation induced cell death\u00bb). El receptor de muerte fas es una glicoprote\u00edna de membrana ampliamente expresada en timocitos, c\u00e9lulas t y b normales y tumorales.  su ligando fisiol\u00f3gico, fasl, es una prote\u00edna de membrana que se expresa predominantemente en c\u00e9lulas t activadas, linfocitos t citot\u00f3xicos, neutr\u00f3filos y c\u00e9lulas nk activadas.     la estimulaci\u00f3n del tcr induce un aumento en los segundos mensajeros diacilglicerol (dag) y calcio intracelular (ca2+). El dag induce activaci\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna quinasa c (pkc), activaci\u00f3n de la ruta ras\/erk2 y de la cascada de map kinasa (mapk). Estas v\u00edas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n inducen la expresi\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas implicadas en la activaci\u00f3n del linfocito t (cd69, il-2 y il2-r); as \u00ed como en la apoptosis por aicd (expresi\u00f3n de fas y fasl). la enzima diacilglicerol quinasa (dgk) se expresa en altos niveles en linfocitos t. Tras la estimulaci\u00f3n del tcr, la dgk cataliza la fosforilaci\u00f3n de dag a \u00e1cido fosfat\u00eddico (pa), disminuyendo los niveles de dag y evitando una se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n prolongada a trav\u00e9s de dag. La dgk constituye uno de los reguladores negativos implicados en la atenuaci\u00f3n de las respuestas de activaci\u00f3n del linfocito t mediadas por la v\u00eda dag\/ras. Los procesos de activaci\u00f3n o muerte por aicd inducidos tras estimulaci\u00f3n del tcr presentan segundos mensajeros y v\u00edas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n comunes: aumento del calcio intracelular y activaci\u00f3n de la v\u00eda dag\/pkc\/ras\/mapk.
