Esta afirmaci\u00f3n ha sido corroborada mediante experimentos de laboratorio que establecen una correlaci\u00f3n entre los resultados experimentales y num\u00e9ricos que se encuentra dentro de los m\u00e1rgenes de error aceptados en ingenier\u00eda.  estos elementos se han desarrollado partiendo de una necesidad espec\u00edfica. los varamientos y muertes de cet\u00e1ceos (especialmente zifios de cuvier) coincidentes con maniobras militares es un fen\u00f3meno recurrente en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os en diferentes partes del mundo. La utilizaci\u00f3n de sonares de rango medio, com\u00fan durante la ejecuci\u00f3n de las maniobras, ha sido asociada a las muertes, ya que se han encontrado s\u00edndromes posiblemente derivados de un trauma ac\u00fastico. Esta investigaci\u00f3n aporta, mediante el desarrollo de modelos num\u00e9ricos de los \u00f3rganos auditivos externos del animal, datos que apoyan esta hip\u00f3tesis. Dichos modelos han sido elaborados empleando el m\u00e9todo de los elementos finitos y m\u00e1s espec\u00edficamente los elementos presentados en esta
