Los aditivos y tratamientos utilizados durante su producci\u00f3n pueden retardar o acelerar el proceso de degradaci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica.  en la presente investigaci\u00f3n se estudia la degradaci\u00f3n de las fibras ray\u00f3n viscosa producidas industrialmente en presentaciones de distintas caracter\u00edsticas: t\u00edtulo, corte, tenacidad en h\u00famedo y porcentaje de elongaci\u00f3n.  Los cambios se caracterizan en t\u00e9rminos de parametr\u00eda f\u00edsica (p\u00e9rdida de fortaleza, capacidad de alargamiento y tenacidad) y mediante un protocolo desarrollado, el cual se basa en cambios del carbono org\u00e1nico total y p\u00e9rdida de peso, despu\u00e9s de la acci\u00f3n de bacterias (staphylococcus aureus y escherichia coli) y hongos (aspergillus niger y chaetomium globosum) en cultivos ax\u00e9nicos de diferentes concentraciones, durante 14 y 28 d\u00edas, en condiciones controladas de laboratorio.  asimismo se ha estudiado el efecto biost\u00e1tico, la resistencia a la biodegradaci\u00f3n y los cambios en algunas propiedades mec\u00e1nicas despu\u00e9s de tratar las fibras con recubrimientos nanom\u00e9tricos de carbono amorfo hidrogenado y plata, depositando cada material mediante distintas t\u00e9cnicas. Adem\u00e1s se ha activado la superficie de las fibras ray\u00f3n viscosa a trav\u00e9s de plasma de baja presi\u00f3n, para conocer los efectos sobre su capacidad de
