La problem\u00e1tica a abordar es la misma que en la tesis mencionada: reducci\u00f3n del n\u00famero de latidos a examinar un registro electrocardiogr\u00e1fico (ecg) de larga duraci\u00f3n (conocido como holter), mediante t\u00e9cnicas de agrupamiento no supervisado. Sin embargo, en este caso y como t\u00e9cnica de extracci\u00f3n de caracter\u00edsticas se utiliza la aproximaci\u00f3n poligonal (polygonal apporximation, pa) y adem\u00e1s, en la etapa de reducci\u00f3n de caracter\u00edsticas, se usar\u00e1 un m\u00e9todo estoc\u00e1stico basado en los modelos ocultos de markov (hidden markov models, hmm) y uno estad\u00edstico basado en en an\u00e1lisis de componentes principales (principal component analysis, pca). En esta tesis se describen las aportaciones realizadas en estas tres \u00e1reas: pa, hmm y pca aplicadas a esta problem\u00e1tica concreta. La validez de los dos m\u00e9todos viene refrendada por un conjunto amplio de experimentos utilizando como fuentes de datos las se\u00f1ales ecg disponibles en la bae de datos del massachusetts institue of technology (mit). Como conclusi\u00f3n se enumeran las mejores obtenidas de la aplicaci\u00f3n de estos m\u00e9todos sobre el proceso de clustering de latidos sobre se\u00f1ales ecg de tipo
