En particular se persigue la obtenci\u00f3n de nuevas herramientas algoritmicas que permitan la caracterizaci\u00f3n de la estabilidad de los reactores nucleares de agua en ebullici\u00f3n.  concretamente, se trata de detectar las posibles oscilaciones de potencia de estos reactores. Las fuentes de informaci\u00f3n sobre el sistema con las que se cuenta son las se\u00f1ales provenientes del sistema de vigilancia de potencia, que proporciona informaci\u00f3n sobre el flujo neutr\u00f3nico en el n\u00facleo del reactor.  actualmente los par\u00e1metros b\u00e1sicos que permiten caracterizar las oscilaciones del flujo neutr\u00f3nico en los reactores, como la raz\u00f3n de amortiguamiento (dr), o la frecuencia fundamental, son generalmente evaluados mediante m\u00e9todos basados en la reconstrucci\u00f3n de la se\u00f1al mediante modelos param\u00e9tricos autoregresivos (arma). Estos m\u00e9todos trabajan bajo la hip\u00f3tesis de comportamiento lineal del reactor; sin embargo, el comportamiento de los reactores nucleares de agua en ebullici\u00f3n s\u00f3lo puede aproximarse mediante sistemas lineales bajo condiciones normales de operaci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, con estos m\u00e9todos algunos par\u00e1metros dependen del orden del modelo escogido. El presente trabajo pretende obtener m\u00e9todos que superen estas limitaciones, proponiendo algoritmos cuya aplicaci\u00f3n no est\u00e9 basada en un modelo, esto es, sin acudir a la utilizaci\u00f3n de hip\u00f3tesis simplificativas como la del comportamiento lineal del sistema.  teniendo en cuenta las consideraciones anteriores, se siguen dos lineas de investigaci\u00f3n independientes con resultados desiguales. En la primera se consideran algoritmos que permitan la reconstrucci\u00f3n en forma analitica de la densidad espectral de potencia (dep), utilizando para ello los momentos de frecuencia.
